Kiteboarding in "Hooked on the Outdoors" mag

Got the latest issue in the mail today..
Misinformation at the end note and no mention whatsoever of the many risks and dangers involved in our sport.
With the inevitable onslaught of greenbacks and kooks invading the beaches, hopefully responsible kiteboarders will police their spots and prevent injury, death and subsequent kite bans that will follow..
Don't sit idly by and witness an accident when some advice or aggro would keep the spot open and kook free.
Heres the article:

POWERKITING: THE ULTIMATE GREEN SPORT

Deep under the soil of ancient china lay the remains of the first powerkiters. Around 1100 A.D, adventurous Chinese inventors had perfected a kite they could use to drift among the treetops (and drop the occasional bomb on an unwitting earthbound enemy). Since then, kites have been used to harvest the wind for countless useful purposes- and some less-than practical applications as well.
Enter powerkiting. Powerkiting is exactly what the name implies- using a kite to power a person or vehicle. Canoes, skis, buggy-karts, surfboards and human beings have all been harnessed to kites and sent into motion.
“Whether its riding on a beach, grass field, the wideopen dry lakes of the Mojave Desert or blasting uphill on snow skis, the thrill is out of this worldâ€
