Kitesurfing in Turkey

Postby kathrinestava » Sun Jun 17, 2012 10:08 pm

I'm going to Alanya/Side this July, and wonder if there are any (good) kitesurfing spots in that area? Thanks for all help! :D

Ive just spent a week in Gokova and do not recommend it for anyone other than an absolute beginner. It is a decent spot with consistent light wind which can be useful for an absolute beginner, but for others I think it is a disappointment.

I've been in Alacati in May, and I wouldnt reccomend either..it was the windsurfer paradise, but the lobby was leaving very little space to kitesurf.
Anyway I had a chance to speak with the teacher of a school, who knew very nice places.
You can write to him, he's very nice and helpful.
He's name is Dominic and you can find him at info@kite-turkey.com

Good Luck!
