the flotation on the bump and jump is execelent. the hydration pack is great to have for those long sessions. I added some velcro to it and my harness so they stick together and the vest doesn't slide up.

Toby,
I use the Neil Pryde 5000. I like it a lot :thumb: :thumb: .
It also provides a surprising amount of flotation.

Hi Toby,

Does your new impact vest (neilpryde) keep you floating?

yes, that is the one.
See how the lower part will fit under the harness?
Great stuff.

if it keeps me floating, I don't know, have to try.

I think the Cabrinha is about the same, no difference to the Neil Pryde.
But I love the red!!!! Damn, I only have a sand color.....

I am thinking of getting one of the Naish Defender impact vests - has anyone here used one? How do they compare to the Cabrinha (my second choice)?

Alternatively Dakine seem to be bringing out a new one: The Shock Vest. Pretty expensive but looks good. Not sure if it works with a waist harness though?

Cheers

How about just a PFD?

I've pancaked from high up with my PFD (Lotus designs), no probs.
