Toby with my knowledge of the adjuster on the wipika chicken line that type of clip is somewhat hard to use.... I was think more of the type that sailboats use w/ each side of the aligator clip having its own spring loaded spring it it... these types are much easier to lock into and also get out of.. The wipika one needs tention pullin both ways to get it to tighten down in.. the spring loaded ones clamp basically by it's self..

I completely disagree with the opening statement of the posting. Did you not read the warnings that came with your kite?

Solutions to the release problems are available, not just in the form of items not truly designed to perform in the function required by the application of kiting, ie, snap shackles.
I came up with a system that works for me without fail and is not a shackle, but I dont put myself in positions where I would be forced to use it. Look at Wipika release forum.

Hi Steve,

I didn't get any e-mail?!
Try to use the "Private Messages" on this site.
Very easy to use, just click my profile under one of my postings and then click on "Send a Private Message".
When you receive one, it will be displayed next to the "Private Messages" in white.

With the cleats below it should work, just build something and attach it to your harness and test it by hanging into a door or tree (be careful! )
