Dubai? can you kite there?

Hi! I'm planning to go to dubai in September.
Has anyone heard anything about kiting in Dubai?
What places to go? What's the wind like?......

I was just talking to a guy from ireland who lives in Dubai.he said there is good kitesurfing there.cant tell you what time of year or where.but it`s a start

There are probably about 100kitesurfers there,

The conditions are consistent but light, and normally directly onshore. We
mainly use 19.5/17.5 and have a 13.5/11.5 as a small kite. the wind is normally
8 to 12knots, and this time of the year they get some 12 to 20 knot days,.Dec toFeb is the windy season.

Summer is hot, 45C, very consistent wind which starts
blowing onshore everyday from 12 noon.

There are two kiteshops, Naish and Cabrinha.
