Hello everybody,

I tried both 10.5 and 12.5 skoop and have to choose one of them to complete my quiver (Wipi AirBlast 4.9 and 8.4).

Both 10.5 and 12.5 have impressed me by the maniability, lightness and speed... Really nice products.

But I do not know if it would be preferable to take the 10.5 or the 12.5...

What do you think ???

I'm 75 kgs and navigate with FOne 170 and Olry 186 TT.

10.5, No question.

You are liteweight and have big boards. The 10.5 goes like 11.8 Hairblast so will compliment your 8.4.

you'll be blasting in less than 10 knots on the big olry.

Hi, is it a 2002 airblast 8.4 ???
That kites has a better low-end as the 2001, and then you can probably get away with the 12.5 (which is great).

Otherwise take the 10.5, 'cause the step from 12.5 to 8.4 (2001) is probably too big.

Based on using these two kites, 10.5 and 12.5 I'd agree with the recomendation for the 10.5. It has plenty of power for your weight and board size. Unless you are really concerned about kiting in the lightest winds possible it seems the 10.5 would get used more.

The 12.5 / 8.4 wipika quiver would have a bit of gap (or at least no overlap) right around 15-17 knots for you probably, which is probably a common wind condition. The 10.5 / 8.4 wipika will have some overlap around this speed so you could use either depending on how you felt.

After looking at your weight and boards I have to agree, the 10.5 is really sweet, with the low-end of an 11.8 Airblast.

And about which kite you'll use when you can use the 8.4 or the 10.5 : the Skoop

Ok guys, thanks for your advises.

My 8.4 is a 2002 model (in fact, a late 2001 model, with 7 balloons), and I usually use it from 17 to 27 knots with my Fone board, I think from 14 to ??? with the Olry 186.

I search something for the very lights conditions, because I will use it principally on our swiss lakes (where we can have less that 10 knots...).

Do you really think that by combining my both boards, I would have a gap beetween the 12.5 and the 8.4 ??? I heard it was easilly possible to hold the kite until about 20 knots... But I just could test this size (12m) in 5 to 8 knots...

If the 12.5 can make me win 3-4 knots, it will increase my navigation time for about 30% !!! So, each knot is important

Nothing will go in 3-4 knots. 5-10 and you have a shout with the 12.5. It will only take 20 knots if you are A. Very good. B Mad. C. Going to eat lots of cakes and D. You have a very small board, prferably with a pickle.

The 10.5 will perhaps work for you from 7/8 Knots.
