F1-18: Frankly, not great to restart when under 10 mph...

I am thinking of a 5th line (on the front tube) to help turn the kite on its back.

Cheers!

Got a 10.5 skoop for sale folks. Complete, never flown, all for £730... Great kite.

Restarting the kite is difficult,
but often it is just a wrapping around, so the tube is upright. Then U pump him up, with the frontlines in your hands. It can happen that the lines are twisted then, which harms control.
If you have ground under your feet, relaunch is possible under 10 knots, but i really would try to avoid relaunch while swimming...
From maybe 12knots on the kite is easy to relaunch.

I have own two takoons and fly with guys who use comperable f-ones. THe takoons are a slightly better/ more high performance. However the construction of the f-one is hands down better than takoons.
I would recommend the f-one to the novice and the takoon the more advanced riders.
The takoon owners should also buy a role of dacron tape.

I think both are very good kites. But what about the durability of the kites.

The F-One 15.1 kite is the best kite in that wind range. And the Takoon 8.5 is the best kite in that wind range for year 2002.

Oh Vic.......

Personally I have no beef with your little business, but please be honest with these folks.

This is not as it seems an innocent private sale offer, but a UK grey importer who has managed to generate more hatemail on the BKSA forum than anyone else - ever.

Heard the racoons are good kites though so it might be worth a punt.

Both are great kites. Buy one and go rip it at the beach. That way you will become a better kiter. It's not all about the kite. The more time you have on water the better you will get with either kite.
