Hola, I am planning to fly with Iberia with my kite equipment, within Spain (Barcelona to Sevilla).

I wonder if they will charge me for the extras or if my gear will go as sport equipment, and thus for free, like many other airways allow.

Cheers
/Erik

Iberia is definitely not the best choise if you bring your kiteequipment with you! We just came back from Puerto Rico and flu Iberia via Madrid. In Zurich they asked us for 150CHF each way. We payd one way. In San Juan, on the way home, they charged us 166US for one way! We was pissed about the difference but there was no way to avoid the fee.
The good thing with Iberia is 2 bags at 32kg each for free. If you have any frinds with you try to fill all boards in 1 Board bag, you safe a lot of money...

Have a nice trip, even with iberia;-((
