This is a very acceptable solution. After looking at the videos, it seems to work.
The two step back line depower is not a big problem.

The system is ok, but no depower adjustment, could be solved with the adjustment of the kitebar-system.

I have to test it myself to see if it works the way described, but it should work.
Still when you rotate the bar back to untwist the lines you will have a twist in the depower flying lines and I don't know if this has an impact on the safety.
For sure the depower loop needs a quick release.

Did anyone try this bar setup yet?

I think that the leash has to spin in sinc with the kite lines (loop-depower-lines).
In this sckech the leash end is fixed.
It could be solved but the other bar is better.
A question for Toby: How does the bar feels with these two lines? Same feeling as one? There isnt any strage behaviour when steering?

If someone wants to try this excellent setup at home without drilling out their bars you can actually use 2 Holt stantion fairleads (HA455)that clamp onto most regular bars and have a large eyelet that easily allows your line (plus knot) to pass through. You can mount them next to eachother in the middle of the bar, or leave a space to fit a Dakine swivel harness etc. They are $8.60 a piece at APS (http://www.apsltd.com/).

Yeah just try it that way. Good Idea! I already built one but didn't test it yet. But be aware, that drilling two holes in the bar is a weakening of your bar (not as fatal as the normal bores in standard- Bars like older naish, Flysurfer, Tekkno- Sports.... bars!)
