To be seen at http://www.mellow.be
Elegant design, too. Why did this never take off?

I always liked that bar, maybe it didn't take off because of that terrible website
It'll be nice if someone here can post a review.

There were lots of reviews a few months ago. Use the search button on the top right and you will find them. Basically it is a nice bar if you like a bar that can be locked at any position. Same idea as last years wipika chicken loop with the tubing over it, but a far better execution.

They had some problems with wear on strap at first but they solved it with a new strap which thye distributed free to anyne who had the first release strap. I think the reason it hasn't caught on amongst alot of kiters is that most evidently don't like a locking bar..or at least have never tried a locking bar to know if they like it, and S2 has a small distribution network (they are not naish or cabrihna!). It was a bit expensive (~200$US) but not much more than a longhorn and comes complete with a shackle leader, etc unlike the longhorn which is sold pretty stripped.

f*** ya! it is gorgeous! I was in the process of cobbing together something like this and was sort of stuck on the "guide" that is welded tothe bar. have the webbing strap made up and everything!

so they want $200 for it huh? Jeez, if i didnt already have a nice new Takoon adn slingshot bars I might go for it. If it was $120 Id buy it for sure.

So, whatas this about "locking" it? Does twisting the bar a bit cause the strap to stop sliding through or is the "locking" just refer to being snap shackled in or the tongue on the chicken loop or what?

looks like a sweet answer to all the home made spinning bars out there right now.

I use the term locking as being able to "lock" the depower strap in place as on the Wipika bars - the stage 2 bar does NOT do this. (The wipika system was crap anyway 'cos it never worked)
The other problems with this bar was the webbing twists as with the Norths & then you can get unwanted locking of the strap. Also - the shackle used is dangerous - It does NOT release under load - any Engineer will look at it & tell you why!

Safety first!
