Toby, thanks for all the great info you're always posting. It really keeps the quality of content high on the forum. One of the main internet weather tools I use is the ASOS. Here, you can see current wind wind speed/direction and review the hourly wind speeds for the 24 hour period. Below is a link to ASOS worldwide. Click on your area and check it out. We also have an automated telephone hotline for the ASOS that gives up to date current wind speed/direction. ASOS is a cool service that can be really helpful at times. http://weather.noaa.gov/weather/ccworld.html

Hi John,
thanks for the link.
I just checked it, good info.
There is another site which is great, I just checked, if they offer Hawaii, they do.
Great at this site is, that they have actual winds (1 hour behind) and the forecast for 3 days, showing 3 times a day.
Maybe you already know it, if not, let me know how you liked it.

Hi,
I have another link. I come from holland and, this site always gives me accurate predictions (often accurate within 60 minutes). You can see movies of the weather predictions.
http://www.theyr.com.
Don't know if there are predictions outside europe. Their images also appear on littoclime (which is often recommended as most accurate
Have fun,
Alf

Hi Alf,
thanks for the link.
Is the windspeed in knots?
I would say yes, but want to make sure.
Cheers

Hi Toby, here is a link from our local spot in Brisbane. Two of the guys here have set up a weather station that goes hand in hand with the web cam. It doesn't predict the weather but give you an up to date look at the conditions.

Here's a site that has links to wind sites in Auckland NZ where I live.
It's updated every 10 minutes, states max and average windspeed in knots, humidity, airtemp and barometer reading.
