I want to buy a kite for 10-15 knots, I have a Cabrinha Spoiler 150 and weight nearly 85kg. I'm looking to buy an X2 20. If anybody kiting with a similar configuration and having good results?

You need a bigger board too. I weight the same, rode the same board, and found I really needed a light wind board to go with my big kite. The Spoiler works, but you'll never really maximize your light wind kiting. Big kites overpower small boards.

I have been using the x2 2o for 3 weeks now on a liquid force 165 wake board and it works absolutely fine. Given that the kite turns extremely fast (compared to my Aero 16) I don't have any problem with this combination. But I agree with the other post, a big directional seems to be the way to go for super light wind.

I weigh 68kg and am thinking about buying an X2 20 to use with my Olry 165 or with my Slingshot 147. Sounds like I'll be right in there, huh?

I used the 20 2 weeks ago and was impressed with hpw fast it turned for its size. Also, it has very little back-line tension, which is very important when you need to "work" the kite (so that your hands won't fall off).

The most important thing to remember about the x2 in light winds is that it needs to ride the front lines, and fly very fast through the window.

I also have the same board and weight the same. My bigger kite is an Airblast 10m and looking for a kite in 10-13 knots to use with the Spoiler 150 (I don't want to use a bigger board). Anybody have this configuration and a RRD Supertype 16 or X2 18 or 20? Please tell also when you start to fly without doing sinuses.

I (72kg) tried Jever98's X2 20 two days ago with my LiquidForce Rhythm 134 which is a pretty small board and i would rate this kite great! It has approximately the same turning speed than my Toro 16 and is really easy to fly (mostly like an intermediate). I didn't have the feeling of the board being overpowered. Maybe due to my lack of weight

But i have to admit that i didn't test it with a bigger board.

Hi Louis, did you fly X2 20 in conditions where your Toro 16 didn´t yet work ? I´m pretty close to buy a Toro 18 and still thinking about the right size to accompany on the smaller side ..

In my impression, the 16 would have been too small at the time.

Yes he is right. Haven't been possible going upwind with Toro 16 in those conditions. I think Toro 16 needs about 1-2kn more wind than X2 20. With my weight of 72kg it's not worth buying a kite 'round 20qm because the windrange is to small (even with x2) but i would recommend it to all heavyweight-people (>80kg ??)
