Hi everybody!
Just bought a 12m Rhino "kite only".
What is the best control bar length for this kite?
Furthermore, I've got an 8,5m Wipika FreeAir from 2000. Everyone tells me that its bar is much too long. How long should the control bar be for an 8,5m Wipika FreeAir from 2000?
Thanks for all info
Rainer

When I bought my Rhino 12 last December, I contacted Ken Winner and he told me his personal bar was 50 cm between the lines. Notice that he gave me the distance between the lines, not the bar length. There can be a difference.
I cut my bar down to 54 cm which made it 50 cm between the lines. I wanted my kite to fly exactly like the designer intended it to fly. I use this same bar on all my Rhinos. I am happy with it.
If you are a beginner who sine flys underpowered a lot, this bar may seem short. If you already kite powered, this length is perfect.
I use 30 meter lines measured bar to kite.

Just heard that North will have a new bar out in October which is adjustable in size.

Where did you hear that?
I think North has done a great job to make their kites fly the same from one bar length. I've flown a 4oh Toro (on land) on the 60cm bar and it does not seem to oversteer. I've also used the 12, 10, 9.3 with my 55cm bar. I'd be somewhat surprised to see an adjustable length bar. ...maybe for sizes over 16?
