good size for 2nd kite ??

hey everybody! I have a naish AR5, 13,5 and looking for a smaller 2nd kite for the windier SE monsoon at the moment. whats a good brand, size ? going to Maui end of the month and thinking of buying there. good shops around? looking as well for a board,
but dont know which way to go. have 1,70 modified surfboard and old style wakeboard.

a good size is about 9m².

the 9.5m arx is a cool kite,
the 9.6m north is cool, too - very stable, direct and good to relaunch.

i didn't see the smaller slings yet, but they could be great, too

I have a Naish 13.5 AR5 and a Slingshot Fuel Houndred, 10.0. They both work nicely for me no matter what the situation. I ride a 215cm directional, by the way.

well, if u use the 13.5 AR5, you can take a little smaller than 10.0 - for a bigger range...

a quite common combination here is arx 13.5 and 9.5 - with two boards you can go from 3.5bft up to 6 (with gusts of 7 )

I have a 13,5ar5 and a 7,5ar5 and have been using them for the last 9months. using them and 2 boards I am able to go out in virtually any wind though it does take some time getting used to the 7.5 again as it is so much faster. the boards i use are a 6ft directional by Kitesurfer and a 5ft naish mutant

I have an 11.5m ARX and a 7.5m AR5.... That combo works for me in anything from 10 - 25 knots. Haven't been much higher than 25 knots with the AR5 but was comfortable in 25... good high wind kite size.

Nowadays there are heaps of high wind kites out there... Intermediate kites like the AERO and the Hydro or an advanced kite like the 8m X2 are all worthy of consideration... but around 8m seems a good size to complement your 13.5.

A friend of mine uses a 13.5m AR5 and a 9m R3 as his 2 kite quiver and goes well....

Hi,
a lot of people seem to be very happy with the Toro, especially in the smaller sizes.
As to the board: Twintips are very popular, but try before you buy, if you can. It all comes down to taste in the end
