Hi Guys,

Last weekend I went to a safety meeting in Romo, Denmark.

Different systems were tested, also the ones currently on the market by kite producers.

One bar caught everyones eye:
simple by looking at it and simple functions.
Everything looked very clean.
Rotations no problem while having a leash. After spinning the bar back one short action and all lines are untwisted, also the depower lines.
Easy quick release to have the kite leashed and second to release the kite totally.

The safety testers had one thing to be improved, which was the final release, but according to the producers it has been changed the last days and is even better now!

Next week I will have pictures, but I have to wait for the permission to show them.

This bar comes from the kiteproshop.com guys.

Hopefully I can give you the full info soon, but I tested it and it is THE bar for the future of safer kiting.

Toby, two questions:

- Is that the bar you told us about in the past, but that you couldn't show for some reason?

- You are writing "the kiteshoppro guys". I assume these are the same who make the x-shooter. I was always under the impression that you are also part of this crew. True or not?

Cheers
Nico

Hi Nico,

thx for your questions.

1. yes, it is the bar I mentioned before, but it has been improved. But couldn't post it and can't post a picture yet, because the developer doesn't want it yet.

2. good that you are asking this question, since I didn't know how to handle this issue.
I love kiteboarding and want to be living of it. It was always a dream of making my hobby as my job.
So I started working for them in spring and now got offered a partnership in their ventures (X-Shooter and kiteproshop.com), because they are friends of mine.
That is why I always stated when I was mentioning the X-Shooter, that I know them and they should test the board and not take my words for granted.

But I don't think this is a problem for any kiteforum user, since this forums are not under influences of these companies.
Or do you see any difference from beginning of the year to nowadays?

And one day I will have banners for advertising (because a forum also costs money...) and it won't be limited to 2 companies. Everyone can put his banner in here, whatever it is....

So if you have further comments to make, do so in a different topic, since this topic is about a great bar, whoever sells it.
But it is convincing and what we all are looking for!
With it I will feel much safer!

thx
Toby

Thanks for the answer!
Looking forward to the pics. Is it possible to combine it with an X2 bar?

Hmmmm. I didn't know the above information Toby disclosed. It may not really matter much, but it matters to me. Thanks for sharing.

Johnny
