Has anybody been to the Seychelles with an eye on the wind ?

My wife has organised a romantice trip on air miles to the Seychelles for late October.
Want to know if anybody has been and noticed or knows if there is any wind there.
ie is it worth taking my kit ?
is it allowed there ?
are there any windsurf or similar set ups ?

Rory, it wouldn't be a romantic trip if you took your kitesurfing gear. I guess you will have to do without for a short while...

Hi Rory.
Been a couple of times to the seychelles at that same period, for surfing and windsurfing.
It is the beginning of their windsurfing season,with a great race from Mahe to Praslin (42 km). If you are interested contact the seychelles yachting association.
You will definitely need large kites for there, no matter your weight, and conditions are slight to variable, but the beauty of the spots makes it all worthwhile.
