We are going to Cuba, Varadero, next February. I heard that the customs can keep my equipment and that they can close the beaches when it`s too windy... anyone has an experience in Cuba ???

Hey it is a third world country any thing is possibel

U call Cuba a third world country? IMHO u never been there, cos if u have, u realized that Cuba is a poor country 4 sure if compared with USA or Europe, but not a third world country... a lot of culture there and as the same low and order... and much more the custom mans don't asck any thing if u r a tourist and don't have drugs or weapons, like in any other first world country ) About Kite a frind of mine, a well know italian kitesurfer, Fabio Balini, made a kite stage in Varadero... he had no probs apart the general curiosity of the locals and tourists.
So go to Cuba and have a lot of fun and... read something on the news group about your experience
