Does anybody have an opinion of the Litewave 169? I am particularly interested in whether it is relatively fast. I am considering this board for big kites/light wind.

Not very fast. The design does not promote speed. We moved to slingshot's Doyle shaped boards for this reason. The 157 is a smaller board, but for light winds much faster than a 169 lightwave due to the higher rocker (less water drag) and more fins (holds the edge in the water better). I rode a lightwave and just sold it so I have a biased opinion, but I truly feel this way, FWIW.
