Thanks Freefall,

How is the wind condition all year long, any statistics on wind force and direction?, water temp and temp. Good hotels, affordable ones?, other activities that kite surfing? well a ton of questions.

Thanks for your support.

ALACATI WIND CONDITIONS
With its 1.8 kms width, over 5 kms depth, crystal clear waters, azure blue skies, consistent and steady winds, topography and location Alacati is an ideal windsurfing spot in Europe. Both, the very shape of the bay and the thermal water pressures, create steady and consistent winds blowing side-shore from North to South (Poyraz) in summer and from South to North (Lodos) in winter months
First time windsurfers love the place as the waist-deep and sand covered shallow water area extends for 500 meters from shore into the bay creating perfect conditions for beginners of all ages. Easy recovery from falls adds a new dimension to both teaching and learning to kitesurf..
For Hotel reservations
Price Range is between 30 $ to 100$ a day per person .. Cesme is less expensive than Bodrum .

after december Alacati is not a crowded place but all the expert riders are there to kitesurf or windsurf ..In december water temparature is cold so if you want to come dont forget to brinf your wet-suit with you .. Hotels are very cheap in that season because is off-season for CESME ..

I was in Alacati last year in the end of september. kitesurfing in alacati was terrible because of gusty winds and because the first 50 meters from the shore to the nmiddle of the bay there is hardly any wind to catch. no problem for windsurfers but a big problem for kitesurfers. After half an hour I was send away. Kitesurfing was forbidden in the alacati then. I went to THE local kitespot: The bay of Ilica only 15 kilometers further on where the new Sheraton hotel is. Superb kitesurfing there but straight onshore wind and a road, electricity lines and a 8 meter high brick wall waiting if you make a mistake while launching your kite.

thanks for the info. Alcati seems not too forgiving for a kite beginner and intermediate. Any other spots that can be recommended during the winter in Turkey?

Marve i found the places you can easily kitesurf in turkey ..
Burc Beach - ISTANBUL
ALACATI - CESME IZMIR
ILICA BEACH - CESNE IZMIR (We get the permission from government for kitesurfing in Alacati )
KEMER - ANTALYA
DATCA
BODRUM
This are the names of the places you can kitesurf in Turkey ..
Those places it is now crowded because the number of kitesurfers in Turkey is very little .. But it is getting very popular every day : )
