byron bay looks nice for kitesurfing.
this was yesterday.
Good to hear their flying in Byron, As much as a love the sport its growing so fast that the beaches are getting so over crowed its no longer funny, that is unless your stood back watching, just hope it doesn't go that way there, that is unless its not already.

i was there for 6 months early this year. Had most sessions at Flat Rock or Ballina river. The Pass always seems too crowded
what country is this, And is that a huge kite or short lines, it looks to powered for a big kite. nice!
I'll be there for a week over New years. if it's NE then the pass is OK. If there is more than 20 knots wind then there aren't too many people surfing or on the beach because it is onshore.
Flat Rock (20 mins south) is an awesome spot in a South Easterly. Nice clean waves and perfectly cross shore. The break is protected by a reef (flat rock) so the water is butter smooth.
i'm thinking of spending awhile in queensland (including byron bay) over summer. what are the usual winds strenghts there?
