I can assure you ANY board can be broken...
It just needs the exact "bad" position of opposing forces and then anything will snap...
Those of you coming from a Windsurfing bacground will remember this when training forward-loops and Table-tops. These are THE 2 board-breaking manoevres. If performed "properly" a all-rigid" brand-new bomb-proof custom will snap. Now matter how strong you build it... Just too much force and to great a length and to stiff.
Stiff boards are very good for riding, but as they say "Every medal has a backside"....
Soft/sloppy boards will take a much bigger beating, but then they are not so much fun to ride...

out of all my friends kitesurfing, in the last three years, using all kinds of kites, boards, in all kinds of conditions and winds, and varying in all kinds of levels, the wipika edge is the ONLY board that has broken...
i dont think that is a coincidence, my friend who broke it isnt even a heavy guy at 63 kg. He is now riding a litewave 136 which will take much more abuse

I have been sailing the Edge 146 for 2 month now and I am very pleased with it.
One day I hit at big Stone in the wather while sailing with full power, the board only got at minor scratch. I have also made some crach landings in low wather.
I think that it is very had to break the Edge and if it breaks it must be an error in the production. This shuld be covered by warrenty
