It can't be done.

Recon is a kite based system, meaning it is integrated into the construction of the kite. You would have to do major modifications in order to use the system. If you get a chance to look at one you will understand.

I'm guessing you mean the recon system on the 2004 kites?

I used it the other day on my Cabrinha Nitro for the first time and it was fantastic!! Heaps easier and quicker than swimming towards your kite etc.

Once you learn the technique of getting it to the edge of the window, I'm not a experienced kiter but I got it on the second go, you won't go back.

As others have pointed out, RECON came out in 2004 in CO2 and NITRO (formerly Blacktip). DO NOT ATTEMPT to use a RECON bar with ANY OTHER KITE, other than a RECON equiped kite. If you try this your emergency kite depower will not work. In fact your kite will be fully powerd up instead, not a good idea.
