2 off the BEST kites on the market, i think..

Test them.

X4 has a bit more bottom end, and R4 has a bit more high end. Hangtime is a tiny bit better on the X4 IMHO...

Test-test-test-tes your self.... :bye:

I WOULD LIKE TO TEST BUT I DO NOT HAVE THE POSSIBILITY,I WOULD LIKE TO GO IN:

X4 8 -30-32 KNOTS
X4 12 - 25-27 KNOTS
X4 18 -16-19 KNOTS

I HAWE 90 kg MY SKILL IS ALL KINDS OF SPINING,KITELOOP,ETC...
YOU THINK THIS IS POSSIBLE WITH X4 KITES,NOW I HAD TAKOON SCOOPS BUT WOULD LIKE TO HAVE A MORE POWERFOOL KITE
I WOULD BE HAPPY ABOUT ANY HONEST OPPINION SINCE I HAVE TO DESIDE VERY SOON

PS.: WHAT MEENS GRUNTY KITE?

That looks like a great combo. I have tried both kites and the X4 certainly jumps bigger and gives more time for tricks! Go grab 'em!

90 kg, means you will be better off, on the X4. IMHO..

With 90 kilos you should go for the X4.

Especially the R4 18 is not the best kite for a heavy guy as far as I´ve heard - not grunty enough...

This being said, I havn´t tried the X4 18 either, but the X4 16 is so perfect for me that I´m smiling all the way to the water - gave me the pleasure of "light wind" sailing again.

BTW I (115 kg) was testing the max range of the 12. The guys at the beach said around 30 knots and 5-8 degrees celcius. I was VERY powered but mananged to have a fun session instead of the guys on the beach who wasn´t able to hold on to their 9s... (jumping was high and loooooong lasting) - ohh yes the board - Naish TT Pro 134 (47 wide). So IMO you could easily hold on to the 12 as the only kite if you live in an area where the wind isn´t to shifty in range.

I agree.
X4 is more of a jumper, therefore R4 is more a kitelooper, but still great jumps.
