Boards under US$300???

I have yet to see a new board for $300 or less. The cheapest new boards that you can purchase online are Best or Liquid Force for about $450. However, the used market in the US is huge and you could probably get a slightly used 2004 board for $300 if you shop around.
SQ (or any other Best Rep) - what happend to the BEST board? The one that was $299? Are you ever going to offer a 'budget' board?

don't forget to add extra for FIns, handles, footstraps and foot pads.
I can't stand it when you go to buy something advertised for a certain price and when you go to buy it, th eprice has increased cause you have to buy othre things aswell.
Bests aren't the otnly ones who do it, aer line companies do it too and that really annoys me.

BEST Boards use to have one very cheap..that was about to buy...& when I tried...it wasn't there!
