Siemens Mobile Kiteboard Challenge in Scheveningen
On 17, 18 and 19 September the coast at Scheveningen will be an enchanting kaleidoscope of colored kites belonging to competitors in the Siemens Mobile Kiteboard Challenge. Siemens Mobile is the main sponsor of this spectacular international event. For three days some 40 kiteboarders will be competing against each other and the sea. The riders, from every corner of the globe, will be in line for an extensive package of prizes, including a total of 10,000 euros up for grabs.
During the Challenge riders will be assessed on different jumps such as ‘grabs’, ‘kiteloops’ ‘handle passes’ and many others. Judging will be on the basis of overall impression. The star event will be the freestyle, in which competitors demonstrate their skills in a set time.
Visitors to the Kiteboard Challenge will also be able to check out the M65 Climatic Tour on the beach. The Siemens M65 mobile phone will be demonstrated under a number of climatic conditions such as the North Pole, a volcanic landscape, a desert and a jungle. Competitors can complete a number of missions with the M65 and can win an M65 or the main prize: a 10-day trip to Peru for a real-life climatic tour together with the other European winners.
The National Dutch Flying Show 2004 ‘Flight of the Champions’ is being held in Scheveningen at the same time as the Mobile Kiteboard Challenge. Siemens Mobile is a subsidiary sponsor of this event.
