the key thing to remember is the local economic situation.
a guy making 10usd an hour could be better of than the guy making 100usd if the 2nd guy lives in a more developed area where his rent is 1500+ a month as oppose to 90 a month
the miminum wage here is 7.70 euro per hour, thats for all jobs..

I do around 120 euro per student full course ( 9 hr) But nowadays I think that it is not enough to make comfortable money saving. Kiteboarding in Olimpic games. We should make more from the course

I understand the thread.... but teaching is a lifestyle decision for the Non-national who wishes to travel and see the world. Teaching is not about making money it's normally about survival from one month to the other.
As for the local guys (I speak of developing countries, mainly) they can earn over and above the basic salary. When I had a school My local guys could earn a years salary and above in one month and averaged well above 10 times the annual salary over the year. These are the guys who are really making a difference helping there families better themselves.

Lesson taught as a course No time limit No limit on number of sessions All gear provided Average hours needed apx. 10 ( if conditions are good and student aptitude is good) Some students may need 2 or 3 times that. Total cost $450.00
If you include the cost of fuel, repairs, drinking water and entrance fees the hourly charge might be between $35.00 to $15.00 per hour. many times it works out to be less.
