Hello !!!!
I would like to take 10 days to go kitesurfing out of France.
I know friends at Miami and Cabarete, So I hesitate between these 2 destinations.
What is the best one for kitesurfing with no too much crowded spots, and meet cool persons?

Cabarete, but if you like the beach relaxed and quiet, kite at Encuentro or make downwinders to Encuentro. Great waves, relaxed atmosphere and definitely not crowded.
Cool persons enough in Cabarete. Nightlife is great, good restaurants and lots of things to do.
Have a great holiday!

I don't know any person which could lend my a room in Brazil... And I have a limited budget. So I think it will be Encuentro or perhaps Portugal. Miami doesn't seem to be a quiet place for kitesurfing during summer.

I Live in Miami.
Here's the deal: In summer, we get occasional winds here. This summer we had better winds than last summer, and July is the month where Thermal winds AKA summer breezes come into place. I know the beaches can get crowded at some time, but its WHERE you kitesurf that really matters.
First, dont go to Miami Beach, or your asking for a bitchslap.
Second, go to Matheson Hammocks, or maybe,, just maybe, to Virginia Key or Crandon Beach ONLY AND ONLY on WEEKDAYS!!
Do some research , http://www.kitebeaches.com, and get back to this thread.
Gud luck,
Danny

Hands down Cabarete, Miami in the summer there is a big chance that there might not be wind.
