I love my LW freestyle 125. It's light, planes up easily, and
can hold an edge real well. I also use the short fins which makes the
board easy to turn to/from toeside.

LW 125 seems to be the best board I had so far.
Yes, I ride for them, but I used all kinds' and the LW works.
yes, there are boards for waves and for flat water, but the Lw is just an all around great board....also you will not be able to kill it.

I have not ridden either of the boards, however the one thing that would stop me going for a lightwave in general (and they seems great otherwise) is that they are so freekin' heavy. This really throws me out in rotations etc. 'Bullit proof' has a cost, I guess...

My LW 125 isn't heavy at all. Great all around board. Now Liquid Force... that's a heavy board.

I have ridden them both and I prefer the Airush xpact. they are both solid boards and I think it is realy more about personal feel than any thing we can tell you.
IMO the xpact had a little more pop than the LW. I also prefer the pads and straps that Airush sends with the boards.
They both go up-wind good.
The LW was a little stiffer and the x-pact had more flex but not so much that it is a big difference.
In the end you will be better off if you can demo the boards. The are both good and to pick one over the other from what we say will be hard.
Good luck.

The xpact looks cooler
What about the prices?
Which cost more?
