I've got a black tip 8.2(flat) from 2002 which I use for strong winds but can't hold it as long as i want (although I am 98 kg). There is enough overlap with my skoop 11.5, but just want a small kite that i can fly with more wind. Thinking about Best Yarga 7, Best nemisis 8, Rhino4 8m2. Who has used these kites with really strong winds and what is your opinion. Other brands with good strong wind kites?
Thanks i.a.

You may consider getting something smaller like a 6M if you want a lei kite. I know North makes 6M kites. I used to have 2001 ~6.5M CO2 and it was great in nuking winds, especially if you use a big board when underpowered.
I now use a 9M flat (5.6M projected) peter lynn guerilla as my high wind kite. I find it has the same wind range as a 7M or 8M lei. I like arcs because they lie flat when you engage the safety. Because the pull on wind is a squared function, I feel safer doing a self landing with a 100% depower kite, than a tube that continues to hold its shape until deflated, especially in high winds. I have been in 45+ mph winds on my 9M, just got to make sure your bar and lines are strong enough or else things will start breaking. Anything over that, and I just want to go home and drink hot chocolate.

Hi Woody !
Long time no see..
I've flown the best yarga 7m saturday; great kite, really awsume, BUT you should look at the 9m for 7bft. (I&R used 7m on sunday at 7bft)
It should be possible to try those kites... you know who owns the Yarga 7,9 &11 and my R4 8 is waiting to give you a ride.
You could use the Yarga 7m at 8bft without a doubt.

Hi Woody,
that's a long time ago. Alles goed met je? I assume you can read Dutch?
Iwan
