Try not to let go
I think the two handed entry with a one handed exit is what is happening ..... lots of torque happening in the loop , Damn thats gotta take some forearm strength to hang on to that from start to finish.
Good luck & sorry, no good advise from me ...If I could I would.

Have you tried doing the loop with the kite a bit more on the side of the wind window (so the kite doesn't fly through the centre of the wind window)?
This should reduce the amount of 'yank' you get.
I would also onsider trying to do them in lower winds at start.

I can't do it, but it looks like Ruben lets go after the strong pull. Doing this with one hand is tough, no matter how strong you are...
But he one handed looks more like dong the handlepass after the loop, then they land with one hand on the bar only.

Mat,
This probably doesn't help...but I seem to do a one handed kiteloop after missing handle pass attempts (all of them). Not sure why I can hold on, but I can....so maybe try to do some other move where you let go with one hand...such as a tantrum or something and start by downlooping the kite with one hand....then progress.
Good luck.

mostley the one handed kiteloop comes after a dangle pass, as the kite is high in the window and you sometimes come down with one hand on the end of the bar, so kiteloop is pretty soft.
but i have seem ruben doing one handed kiteloops of a wave with an indy grab. pretty sick.
