Looking for a front traction pad, don't like wax.

dont like wax? dude are you puting it on right? YOu got to put base wax covering the whole board pretty much on first then you got to put on the right wax for the water temperatures on ontop of that. IF you have old wax on your board come that off first. You wont like a front traction pad more than that. Make your own traction if you get one and then add some adhesive to it then put wax on that.

hein has some really nice full deck pads, maybe you can get one of those. i think the material comes from NSI

i really like it. no bruised heals, grip is the same across the board, requires no maintenance, and never changes. i have seen other people take a couple traction decks and lay them out up front, but the full pad seems better at that point.

wax vs traction pad seems like a religious thing not worth arguing about, but this is a good way to go for traction pad.

You could reverse a rear pad and cut off the lip if theres one on it. heres a pic of the board I did it on.

With Straps- Try the NSI diamond plate. Super comfy if your jumping

Strapless- Griptape, Reversed Deck Pad, NSI pad- I'd stick with the reversed deck pad or grip tape, you dont need the thickness of the NSI pad and you lose a bit of control compared to the others.
