Hey Ronnie -

This is the backing I used some years back for the Spinlock Cleat. Seemed to work fine. Machined out of Delrin' plastic. Tap the holes for a SS machine screw, no need for nuts and washers.

Just be sure to pin-lock it so it doesn't rotate while riding.

Nice job John.
Your clamp is very professional and better. I am going to make mine with hand tools. It can be made very crudely and still work ok.

How about some feedback?
Is the force required to lock and unlock the Spinlock high and do you have to rotate the bar a lot in light winds?
Is the wear on the powerline bad? I noticed that with the 8mm line I have, the line is rubbing on the teeth of the cam. Did you ever look at the possibility of moving the cam round slightly to reduce wear?

Ronnie –

Thanks!

Since the drawings are full scale you can use them as a template. Be sure to pin the 'clamp base' to your bar once the position is located. A 1/8â€
