Have to agree with comments on the windrange of these kites. It has to be seen to be believed.

The other day there were three of us out on instincts :-

myself (95kg) on 13m
macca (84kg?) on 11m
my son (11yrs, newbie, 38kg) on 9m

At one point my son lost his board so I grabbed the 9 from him and dragged out to get it. Expected to struggle back in on the 9 and 115cm board but found I could stay upwind and jump :-?

How does that work then ? :D

(he had been flying with trim pulled in approx 25% and I let it right out)

How is the durability of these kites; ive read that there are no leading edge scuff pads/guards etc.. otherwise, they look well built and I will look to demo one soon.

From the company listed wind ranges, the Rebel's have way more range but I think Slingshot is being overly conservative in their ranges (or North is being overly optemistic).
Can only comment on the 14 Rebel so far but weighing just shy of 80kg and riding a 128 board I would say that the north windrange is spot on. Had mine out today in winds ranging from 10 to 20 knots and still had plenty of depower left at the top end.

And for my Rebel 12m, I've had it out in 12knots without problems....I haven't checked out the upper end but should find out tomorrow.

PS love the rebel.
