Cumbuco or Paracuru?

Hi,

A friend and I will be in Brazil in October for a week of kitesurfing.

I have been to Cumbuco before ( off season - no wind ) and thought it would be a good idea to base ourselves there for the week. This way there is a place for beers in the evening and we can access all of the spots along the coast.

What is it like staying in Paracuru?

We will have a 4wd - how long is the drive to Paracuru via the roads?

And what sort of wind can we expect mid Oct? I have a R7 12m and 06 9m. For security I would prefer to bring just one kite and one board.

expect wind around 20-30 knots.
Paracuru normally has 3-5 knots more than Cumbuco.
If you can, bring both. If you have to decide, I think 9 would do (if you are not heavy weight)

Driving on low tide on the beach takes 1 hour on the beach, maybe 45 min.
Via street 1-1:15 hours.

Paracuru is a great spot. If you want to ride mainly there, you may stay there.
But if you want nightlife in Fortaleza, you should stay in Cumbuco.
It is better to drive shortly at night and longer during the day.
