LOL! Best should take lessons from Windwing!

North Wind, you guys in the UK may be out of the local news here in America.

Leona Helmsley the luxury hotel queen, died a month or so ago and left a 4 billion fortune to various charity. I think the humor that Windwing saw is that the largest bequest (12 million) went to her dog while her own grandchildren were left out of the fortune.

Well, the real question should be:

Do the ads work?

Did WindWing sell any kites this year, for retail that is bro deals don't count, and what will they do for kites once they stop using Bill H's old designs laying around?

I have been in Brazil, Australia, Cabarete, Tenerife, Corpus christi, OBX and now Peru.

I haven't seen a WindWing kite on any of the aforementioned beaches that do see a few kites a year.

Do they ads work or do they show WW in it's best light, full of bat shit.

Next year purchases for 08, the Naish Sigmas, Cabrinhas, SS Rev, Best Nemi, Eclipse Thrusters, EH Rippers, North Rebels, and do you really think WW belongs next to this selection?

BTW: Leona left the grandkids $ and properties years ago, the press just likes to reveal her dark side.

Another obscure ad was an American Indian with a tear running down his cheek. Unless you are at least 40 yrs old and from the USA you have no idea who this guy is.
FYI. There was a TV commercial in the 70s (I think.) The Indian crying would be shown along with litter on the hwy and the message was "please dont litter."

I vividly remember the commercials.
So, please don't litter our beaches with WW, is that the connection?
These ads might be "cutting edge", but as mentioned, how exactly they will increase sales is beyond my ability to grasp. Of course, if they sell just one in our area, that'd be a huge increase.

well I have to say, they are the first ad on here that I actually stopped and thought about it. Laughed a little too. I think its doing its job by catching your eye.

The indian dude reminds me of my own short time with windwing kites.

The only difference is that I was CRYING because I DID spent money in windwing kitegear. This was in 2005.... I don't know how it is now but back then it was Lousy gear, lousy customer service.

No way I will EVER spend 1 buck on that windwing sh*t again

Don't know if the ads are selling kites (yet) but a six-page thread on the
worlds largest kite-forum certainly proves the are being noticed (and that
is probably the first goal of an ad campaign).

The ads seem to have have changed.

Looks like Windwing have bailed out on the concept...
