I have found that Offdalip.com has the best price.

I always just made a figure 8... worked fine. Sometimes I'd have to double it up to make it big enough to feel comfortable about it.

fkb,

What kind of line was the larkshead, made of that connected with the Q Power line? Did you get any signs of wear on the sheath of the Q Power line just below the figure 8 knot?

Can you use this knot with standard kite line. I have a new cab with a bad line. But I have and old cab bar with good lines but too long. Can I simply shorten one and tie a figure 8 loop at One end?

Yes...sleeve it....and put the knot near the bar...not near the kite...

......this will let the line stretch to absorb energy before it reaches the knot

Sleeving it makes it OK?

How different are the lengths. If they are close you can make pigtails out of some Dyneema line like this:

The correct way is to sleeve the end of the line, tie an overhand knot in the middle of the sleeve, and then sew the sleeve into a loop with the knot at the end.

Does not make any difference which side has the knot, the tension is the same through the whole length of line.

Congrats on 1000 posts! :happybirthday:
