Moving to Milan to work this week and was just wondering whats around there in the way of kite shops. I know theres loads going on in Como and Garda but anything around the city ?????

Courmayeur and Chamonix are just a couple of hours north. Snow is a bit light still but the scenery is great all the same. Not sure about kites, bet they look great on if they come from Milan though. Have a good trip.

The milanese guys i've been talking to told me stories about rigging
before daybreak at Garda, or entering the water via some stairs at Como...
Cold water, hard gusty winds and spectacular mountains...
Haven't been there myself though so can't confirm.

(Grab a cheap flight for the weekend and head down to Sicily is my advise!)
