Hello everyone. I am not getting much luck on my local forums, so maybe someone in here can help out.
I am just getting into Kiting, and don't know much about the wind speeds in my area yet. I am in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. So most of my kiting will be here in Southern Alberta. I am wondering what size of kite I should get as my first one. I will be getting a Bow Kite.
As well, I will also be doing some travellling around. Hawaii, Australia, etc. What size would you suggest for a second kite?
Thanks in advance for any posts.

I weigh approx 150lbs, and my local spot will most likely be Kite Ranch on Keho lake, here in Southern Alberta. Not sure if that helps at all. I have no idea what the wind is like there.
Thanks again.

8m,12m,16m all depends if you want to actually ride in comfort. But I here that the Bow kiters use one kite for all conditions, but for some reason I d'ont see them riding, only when the wind is from 15 to 25 MPH with there 12m

you probably want a 10 and 14 (depending on the make) I think of sizes like s,ms,m,ml,and l...like t-shirts...which translates to: 8,10,12,14,16 or so...the more you get the better!!! If you only want one maybe a 12...
