Scotland has a lot of coastline and too many spots to name. Dress warm for the water. 10m bow/foil or 12m c is your best all round choice unless you are a real pie lover. Take your pick of waves or flat. waves ..Thurso, Troon ....flat and a bloody long drive between them ,usually behind a farm vehicle or tourist in a motorhome. Nice scenery though!

these are some local sites for the North East

As Baboon says, loads of spots out there. It all depends where you're staying in Scotland.
The town of Troon is very close to Prestwick Airport and not far from Glasgow (40 min by train) and the spot is very nice (also check out Barassie).
If you're staying in Edinburgh or nearby you can find plenty of info at the Edinburgh and Fife Kitesurfing Club (see Chrisdb post above).
Ask also to the guys on the Flexi Forum: http://community.flexifoil.com/
Oh and of course don't forget http://www.kitebeaches.com!

The water in summer in not much colder than the Atlantic....so you're set I guess! 8)

Tiree is probably the best spot - but island so remote - and not many people to practise your english with.

Lol if its English you want you had best stay in Inverness cos the rest the country don`t speak it....and you are F£$$^&d if your name is Ken?

A busy day in the NE is 20 people on an 18 mile long beach .....half that figure for everwhere else.

Hope you have a good stay
