Only thing was I couldn't work out the safety release mechanism on the chicken loop... can anyone fill me in how to release it??

I demo'd an 08 havoc a couple of weeks ago and thought it was the nicest kite I have flown.
Only thing was I couldn't work out the safety release mechanism on the chicken loop... can anyone fill me in how to release it??

Pull the red tab toward you. Can't believe you flew a kite without testing the safety system first!!
The chicken loop release is only thing I don't like on the kite. I would prefer to pull away from the rider, just like the leash.
I ride the 14m from 10-20kts, my 1kite quiver.
