thanks PH. It's interesting how kiting is like a great equalizer. You can take a guy like Lono who is a really, really, really, good surfer (there might be 10-20 guys worldwide who kite and who could surf at his level) and put a kite in his hands and the result is pretty average riding, solid and decent for hooked in kiting but about a hundred notches below his surfing.

But then for guys who can barely surf at all the kite lifts them to mediocre wave riding pretty quick. It's a weird sport in that way. Easy to get a good taste, really hard to master.

Thanks for sharing the video looks like a fun little wave. I wish we had a bit of port tack here more often.

sick video. riders, conditions, filming, editing. It's all there. Dead on regarding the direction of the sport. Surf is where it is at but as they say, it's all good.
