I got a set of replacement bladders for my Ozone kite (love their kites and service). They came with a set of black, short, hard plastic cylinders (10) which I assume are used in attaching the strut connector hoses to the main and strut bladders. How? They fit tightly over the angled connectors, but how are they then used with the rubber hoses? Do you stretch the end of the rubber hose over the little cylinders and then push them onto the barbed connector ends? If so, do you then need to also use a zip tie somewhere? If so, where, or is it just a tight enough fit to hold by themselves?
Hi Don!
That sounds about right. The plastic cylinders basically replace the tiwraps. Slip them over the hoses before slipping to hoses over the barb fittings then slide the cylinders down over the hose ends. Good luck!
The cylinders go OVER the hoses--not under? Wow. That seems really tight to push them onto the barb fittings with the hose between the cylinder and the barb fitting. How far onto the barb fitting do the cylinders need to go?
Yup. Its tight. To get the cylinder/ring pushed over the hose end, you need to pull on the hose so its outside diameter gets smaller and push the cylinder in the same time in the opposite direction. Make sense?
Hi
I'm looking to renew my stock of pre-cut round (or rounded corner) bladder patches, approx. 1" diameter. Looking for best patches and a source.
Suitable of Cabrinha and Ozone bladders.
I got lost in 26 pages in this thread and a search threw up 800+ results, so forgive me if this had been covered already.
