I was in a hurry and pulled too much in the leg of the wetsuit, a Ripcurl flashbomb 6/5/4.
Stupid and sad but just picking up needle, sewingthread and neoprene glue.
The endresult might not be very nice, but I think it works and will last for a while
I screwed up replacing valves on my leading edge bladder. I think I didn't let the alcohol cleaner dry completely before applying the stick-on valves (to a new bladder blank). I cleaned the bladder with the supplied alcohol swabs, and waited about a half-hour before applying the valves. After I had the valves stuck on, they fell off by themselves. I tried again by just leaving them off for overnight and reapplying them in the morning. They pulled right off. I got some silicone and tried using a thin layer of silicone caulk on the valves. They didn't fall off--but they peeled off without any effort. Now I've ruined the valves, and I'm STUCK getting a whole new set of valves. The directions even said "let dry COMPLETELY before applying the valves." (The word "completely" was in all caps in their directions). I feel stupid, and now it's going to cost me $ and another week before my kite's back up in the air.

Hey Don, I have a great glue that works great in this situation. I had a torn valve at the base on a leading edge and repaired it with this adhesive it held for over a year before I replaced the entire bladder. E 6000 It is a ureathane based glue that is very similar to Shoe GOO BUT it is more viscous "runny". I have repaired everything from bladders, to valves, to pump hoses, to 18" long leading edge rips with this stuff. It is available at craft stores, Wall mart etc. It makes duct tape, bailing wire, superglue and all other classic repair materials cry in shame.!!!!!
