Mede, thank you very much for the info, a 4x4 is out of my budget, that Crossfox looks perfect and it would be very nice to lock gear inside the car when we are kiting!
Your photos look amazing what a trip.
Any other tips?Did you have to let the air out of the tyres much?
Cheers

Hello people,
This topic is old! But came on google first page.
I am going to Brazil on January 2019 for 17 days. My plan is to sleep at Cumbuco for 2 nights, then 3 days in taiba, 2 days in jericoacoara, 7 days in barra grande. I have 3 free day to do whatever.
Just wandering what you think of that kite trip, I might rent a car at the airport so I can drive and save time.
Thanks!

I would take a taxi (Uber works well and is half the price!) to Cumbuco when you arrive.
Then rent a car in Cumbuco.
In Cumbuco you get a national SIM so you have GPS.
I advise the operator Vivo. Buy it at the pharmacy and load credit on it there too.
You need a Brazilian CPF tax number to activate it...so ask someone local or where you rent a room to help.
You don’t want to drive from Fortaleza airport to Cumbuco if you don’t know it.
This is your safest way to do.
