i have aboards kiteboarding 2008 z-series. i do not know how much there is difference between 2008 and 2009 models, but with my z board i'm satisfied for 100%. one of the best boards i've had. very comfy in chop, no splashes in the face and superb upwind. i have size 133 that i use also in very weak winds when others look for light wind board.
I have been using Z-series and X-series boards from march 2008. I really like them.
I have been taking the boards with me on many kitesurfing destinations in US such as East coast : Cape Cod, MA (including: West Denis Beach, Old Silver Beach, Chapin, …); Hatteras, NC, West coast: San Francisco Bay Area , CA ( including: 3rd Ave. , Crissy field, Coyote Point, Waddell Bluff, … ) ; Sherman Island, CA. I took them with me to Margarita Island, La Coche, Punta Cana, and Cabarette.
The assembly is very quick. It takes less than 3 minutes to set up the board. I am using Z-series 133 the most, very strong board made with very good quality materials, goes so smooth and fast on flat and also on choppy water. It has very comfortable straps and easy to attach them to the board. Plains very fast, goes upwind and doesn't spray on the face. It is my all around board and many times I used this board when people start using light wind boards. I really recommend this board for people to have one quiver board.
I have had the aboards board "Z" series (lenght 130 cm) for 4 monts. Before I bought it, I had tested 6 boards from different companies. I was looking for a board with which I could learn 4-5 tricks during summer season. I did it and I was very satisfed with the board.
Im riding the z series for a couple of days
and im verry happy with the board great response good upwind excellent pop
and imediately felt comfortable
footpads are also very comfi,
has a very nice finish and the antispray tips works good in choppy waters.
im using the 133 x 40cm
Got my 133x40 Z-Series about 1,5 months ago.
No spray into your face, very fast, holds the edge extremely long,
a slight single-concave and goes upwind really good. The board goes easily through big chop.
Its a little bit hard and heavy, but these characteristics are extremly fine for ripping it on flat-water.
Very good build quality!
Personally i don't like the original foot-straps+pads - i use different ones.
(didn't try the atmosphere foot-pads)
In my opinion the 45mm bright-red-fins are shaped optimal which gives the board a perfect balance of being loose and having good grip.
The very responsive core of the board gives it good pop.
... i like ...
AND this board (especially the 133 with its yellow) has killer-graphics and looks awesome!
