i want to grab a set of Cs before i do 2 week kite trip.
found some local deals. i dont know what sizes to buy. right now i fly 12m + 9m boxer SLE and they suit me well. The 12m has forced me to sit for a few sessions, but the 14m bow is just too slow and zzzzzzzzzzzzz.
what size shoudl i buy for Cs??? ive always been told they have less power than flat kites.

Don't go bigger than a 14 on C kites. They aren't any more exciting than a more powerful SLE.
10 or 9 and a 14m would be the best all round quiver. 12m are a ton of fun too.

Howcome people say C-kites(mainly talking about the FUEL) have crap lightwind performance.
I know im only 50-55kg but I can get going on a 7m 06 FUEL in 13-14 knots. I can only get going on my 9m REV in 12knts. Just comparing to my REV I reckon FUELS have way better lowend!!!!!!

i would go for the torch there not such a brutal kite and a little more user friendly if you have only ever flown bridles i think this is your best option....12m is the most efficent size c shape for sure i wouldnt go bigger than that. i find 14's are sluggish in light wind and when it picks up your too overpowerd like theres never a sweet spot, 12 is quickish and you can generate power with the speed.....

Torch for sure, Fuels are sick but the'06s had crappy bottom end
Torches are just good, and a lot more user friendly...thats not to say Fuels are bad, their brute power is sickkk

Hey Mike, maybe my experience will enlighten you. This spring I bought a quiver of 08 Torches: an eight, a ten and a fourteen. Since then I've had about fifty sessions at various spots here in Ontario, at Hatteras and at Cabarete. Of those fifty sessions about thirty five of them have been on my 14m, twelve of them on my 10m, and three of them on my 8m. I weigh about 140 lbs, by the way.

....Oh and Mike, let me add one more thing: There have been several times that I've felt the need for a 12m. Had I had a 12m in my quiver this summer, I likely would have used it about fifteen or twenty times ( of my fifty sessions)
