I'm sure that was the retail for the kite and the bar back in 2004...they are not hiding the year of the kite and just try to make some of their money back..now I do hope no one is stupid enough to actually buy it... :)

Some of you appear to be unaware
of E-Bay protocols.,

the price of this kite is as of now 60hundred-something dollars and some cents
so if you bidsix hund and ten its yours
unless you get out-bid by Jan 25
If one were to bid on E-bay 1599 dollars or whatever now.,
the kite will sell @ that price
and one would have ripped one's self off
get it?

on the Consumer's side of the argu-ment,
the model year of the c-KITE which
Cabrina doesn't now make,
is not apparently listed
also.
even $599 for a C-kite like that
is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay up there!
like a true ripoff
in Ozone naming, 'access' means beginner's kite

the 599 is probably a little more than what the retailer
would have paid on wholesale to the distributor

whoops there I found it the
kite is a 2004.
its like the last thing in the article
that sort of reminds me of
some New York Times articles
that save some of the most important
facts of a story for the end of an
article many sections and pages away
from whence it started on PAGE ONE.

Eldadgold - you are bloody pathetic.
Who cares if its list price is 1699..everybody knows it the old dated list and if somebody bids $1,000 for that kite, well it means that he/she is an idiot and should not deserve to be a kitesurfer.
And more idiot than them are people like you.
These are tough times and last thing a kite shops need are dumb people like you making much noise for nothing.
Leave kite shops alone, we riders need them. We, final users, need more competition, and you should be happy seeing shops prospering, not the opposite

Your wrong.

If the auction starts at $600 and you are the only bidder at $1600, you will only have to pay $600. If someone else puts in a bid for $650, you will only have to pay $655. The original $1600 bid means you are willing to bid that high. Ebay does notwork like a silent auction.
