Takoon News:

Takoon is proud to introduce the new Pure kite.

One’s first reaction to the new Pure design is a back-to-the-roots feeling.
Our research on bow kites (Nova) then on SLE (Furia), gave us the technical know-how which now enables us to work on rounder shapes.

We wanted a stable kite with great turning ability, so that you can choose where you want to be thanks to a direct steering, a large wind range and an automatic re-launch to provide maximum comfort and confidence.

All the above make the Pure suitable for both wave riding and new-school freestyle.

- Program: wave / wakestyle
- Stable, rigid, reactive and intuitive.
- Wide wind range and high depower
- Direct bar pressure and natural unhooked riding.
- Auto-relaunch
- Single inflation

hello.
I received Pure kite today, and went to shore to ride.

little bit heavy bar pressure as takoon kite, but lighter than EVO.

the kite feel are very similer of good old two line kite.
but more stable, more turnable, and more wind range, yeah, more power.

good rigid feel, turn speed are slower than nova3, but direct feel.

relaunchbility are very good.
auto relaunch would work when you down the kite at edge of window.

I love my furia2, but Pure-wave are good kite too, but another feeling from furia2.

and

Don't you think the Pure-wave kite looks very qute , do you ?

Looks like lots of Delta-ish kites for 2010.
Bandit, Evo, Kahoona, Nano/Kima, Rabbit, Pure, Core, RRD etc, etc.
I like 'em...., they seem to have all the good stuff we liked about C kites, grunty low end, plus huge range, great upwind, auto relaunch, stability and no SLE backing up tendencies.
I would love to see a head to head comparison of this group/type of kite.
Maybe Kiteworld will do a group review, only magazine that seems to actually tell you anything about anything in their reviews.
When I first saw and rode the Rabbit kite I thought it looked a lot like the original Wipika 5 or 8.
Anybody got any direct comparisons in this group, I would love to read 'em.

www.kiteboarding.eu did a comparisons test between the:

Revolt2, Kahoonha, Nobile N62, Spleen Q, and in there summery they also compared the kites to the GT, DOS and the EVO.

Conclussion: Kahoonha good Old school/Freeride and best value for your money and DOS is still the kite to beat :thumb:

I also been testing the Notus Zeeko kite and i think its also a kite that must be wachted :bye:
