I think part of the answer is you need to try one.

OR are doing good things, doing them correctly too.
They have good products and basically work at improving them year on year. Add in a bit of innovation and uniqueness (Mako boards) and things are good.

The gear has an awesome build quality and most imprortantly they listen. Their customer response is top notch and they listen to what people want. The 09 kite bags and Diablo colour schemes came from asking what people wanted, not what 1 person behind a drawing board thought was good.

I cant speak for other brands so much but these guys are making a huge effort for people that use and want to use their kit.

They are one of the few companies that really value their customers, bending over backwards to see you right. This is clearly demonstrated by their 100% satisfaction guarantee and the dedicated 'crew' following on the ocean rodeo forum.

OK so some may think that I am biassed because I may use Ocean Rodeo kit but it is apparent by all that you read here and on other forums throughout the world that their commitment to customer satisfaction along with their continued research and develpment by the design team with input from this dedicated crew of riders will, mark my words, stand the test of time!

I had a great session a couple of days ago at my local beach on the 2009 Rise 10m. Lost track of the amount of times I dunked it in the water trying rotations and loops etc. However you have the confidence to keep going for these tricks as the kite is so forgiving-no spankings. You know that by letting go of the bar 90% of the power is dumped. That coupled with effortless re-launch.

Yesterday I had a 2 hour session in glorious weather pulling lots of rotations and loops and never crashed her once. The smile has still not left my face :) I've come along in leaps and bounds using this kite. Who knows at this rate I'll be doing some unhooked moves by the end of the summer!

Cheers

Andy :D

Terrytwist is entitled to his opinion just like everyone else. But I must say his opinion does seem very un-informed and vague. He could use some help expressing it in a cerebral manner as well. I have not used any OR products yet but do really like their vibe and the looks of their gear.

Terrytwist...I get the feeling that OR does not want to be Cabrihna or Naish or if they do they will do it their way. Apple has a motto that they are more than happy with a 10% market share as it allows them to focus more on their products...I see a similar approach here.

GM or Chrysler anyone?

Keep up the good work OR.

:thumb: that's it - spot on. They have their own company ideas and philosophies and are very much doing it that way. In some ways it's a fresh approach which is good to see.

A few shots in from the Crew event in Tarifa. Unfortunately they had very light wind, but it looks like a great time anyway.

I can guess who took this one....

Jeremie on the new Zen.
