Did trips to Aruba in 2007 and 2008, but just got back from 2 weeks in Cape Hatteras and loved it. But it's too far to drive for a weekend trip. Are there any decent kiteboarding spots closer drive from Atlanta? I am not from Atlanta and have no knowledge of areas like Hilton Head areas etc. But I need to find way to get on water more often than once per year big trips. Thanks for any tips.

Charleston. Biggest kiteboarding scene close to Atlanta I would guess. Isle of Palms station 3 or 28 1/2 on Sullivans island. If there is wind there will be kites.
